Washington Township, Gloucester County
Washington Township had about 48,700 residents in 2020, making it one of the larger suburban townships in Gloucester County. It borders Deptford, Mantua, Monroe, Glassboro, and Pitman, plus Gloucester Township in Camden County. Created from Deptford in 1836, it includes Turnersville, Sewell, and Grenloch, along with Hurffville, Bells Lake, and Grenloch Terrace. Route 42 (the Black Horse Pike) runs along the east side, Route 47 crosses the west, and the Atlantic City Expressway ends at Route 42 here. Washington Lake Park sits near the town center.
Washington Township grew from about 4,900 residents in 1960 to about 42,000 in 1990, so much of its housing went up during that boom. Homes from those decades often need roofs, HVAC, windows, and electrical updates by now. We buy those homes as-is, without pre-sale renovation.
Turnersville, Sewell, and Grenloch are census-designated places within the township, and Sewell addresses also appear in neighboring Mantua. A mailing name does not settle which town taxes the property. We check the block, lot, and municipality before making an offer.
Route 42, Route 47, Route 168, and County Routes 534 and 555 carry heavy traffic through the township, and the Atlantic City Expressway ends at Route 42. Homes facing these roads can take longer to sell to retail buyers. We buy Washington Township homes on busy roads and quiet cul-de-sacs alike.

Questions from Washington Township sellers
No. We buy Washington Township homes with dated interiors as-is and handle the updates ourselves.
It can be either. Sewell is a census-designated place in Washington Township and also a place name in Mantua, so we confirm with the tax records.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
