Tuckerton, Ocean County
Tuckerton is a borough of about 3.8 square miles surrounded on all sides by Little Egg Harbor Township, with which it shares the 08087 ZIP code. U.S. Route 9 runs through the north part of town and connects to the southern end of County Route 539, while Main Street passes Lake Pohatcong and the Tuckerton Seaport, a working maritime museum opened in 2000. Settled in 1698 and once known as Clamtown, Tuckerton was a U.S. port of entry, moved from Burlington to Ocean County in 1891, and became a borough in 1901.
Sandy extensively damaged almost 300 Tuckerton homes in 2012 and destroyed 32 outright. Floodwater also hit businesses along South Green Street and buildings at the Tuckerton Seaport. Homes that flooded may carry repair permits, elevation questions, or insurance claims that slow a retail sale. We buy them in their current condition.
Tuckerton was settled in 1698, and a cedar grist mill built in 1704 still stands. The town took Ebenezer Tucker's name in 1789 and was part of Burlington County until 1891. Older houses in a town this old can come with outdated wiring, plumbing, and foundations. We buy historic and older homes without asking for updates first.
The Pinelands Commission lists Tuckerton as inside the Pinelands National Reserve but not in the state-designated Pinelands Area, while surrounding Little Egg Harbor is partly in both. About a quarter of the borough's 2,110 housing units were vacant at the 2020 census. Whatever a property's status, we buy houses as-is for cash.

Questions from Tuckerton sellers
Yes. We buy flood-damaged and partly repaired homes as they stand, and we pay cash.
No. We buy older and inherited homes as-is, and you can leave behind anything you don't want.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
