Rockaway Borough, Morris County
Rockaway Borough is a small town along the Rockaway River in north-central Morris County, bordered only by Rockaway Township and Denville. Interstate 80 clips its northeast corner at Exit 37, and Route 46 crosses the south end. Once known as Rockaway Village, it became a borough in 1894. About 6,600 people live here, in roughly 2,600 homes. Morris Hills High School is in the borough, and Lakeland buses run along Main Street.
The Rockaway River flows through the borough between Dover and Denville. During Hurricane Irene in 2011 it crested about 6 feet above its previous record, and downstream Denville saw homes under as much as 8 feet of water. Riverside homes can face flood-insurance questions. We buy them as-is.
Rockaway's First Presbyterian Church was founded in 1758, and many Revolutionary War veterans are buried in its cemetery. Main Street and the train tracks appeared in the 2003 film The Station Agent. Older houses near the center often need updates buyers' lenders want done first. We pay cash instead.
Passenger trains stopped serving Rockaway in 1948, so commuters use Denville or Dover stations, and Lakeland buses run along Main Street to Manhattan. Buyers who want a walkable rail commute look elsewhere first. If your house has been hard to sell, we can buy it for cash.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
