Ramsey, Bergen County
Ramsey is a borough of about 14,800 people in northwest Bergen County, about 26 miles from Midtown Manhattan. Mahwah wraps around it to the north, west, and southwest, with Allendale, Saddle River, and Upper Saddle River to the east and southeast. Route 17 and County Route 507 pass through, and two NJ Transit stations serve the Main Line: Ramsey Main Street downtown and Ramsey Route 17, a park-and-ride. Formed in 1908, Ramsey has about 5,700 homes.
Ramsey is named for Peter J. Ramsey, who sold land for Ramsey's Station in 1848, and the Main Street station built in 1868 is described as the oldest operating passenger station in New Jersey. Homes in a town that grew around the railroad can include older houses with dated systems. We buy those as-is.
The Ramsey Route 17 station opened in 2004 as a park-and-ride and commuter hub on Route 17 South. Route 17 and County Route 507 run along the north and east of downtown. Houses near the highway or the station lots can face more traffic than buyers expect. We make offers anywhere in the borough.
The Old Stone House began as a Dutch farmhouse and served as a tavern during the Revolutionary War; it opened as a historic site in 1960. Ramsey's history goes back well before the borough's 1908 formation from Hohokus Township. If you are selling a long-held family home, we buy with contents and close on your timeline.

Questions from Ramsey sellers
Yes. We buy houses as-is, including those that need roofs, systems, or full renovations, and we don't ask for repairs.
Yes. We buy inherited and probate properties, including contents, and coordinate timing with the executor and estate attorney.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
