Quinton, Salem County
Quinton Township is bordered by Alloway, Lower Alloways Creek, Mannington, and Salem, and by Stow Creek Township across the Cumberland County line. Route 49 runs through it from northwest to southeast, and County Routes 540 and 581 also cross it. About 2,600 people live here, around Quinton village and in places such as Harmony, Woodmere, Pecks Corner, Berrys Chapel, and Mickles Mill. The township was formed in 1873 from part of Upper Alloways Creek Township, now Alloway Township.
In March 1778, local militia fought British forces at Quinton's Bridge, one of the area's Revolutionary War clashes. In a place settled that long, family-held property can carry long ownership histories, and title searches may turn up old liens or heirs who were never added to the deed. We work with the title company to resolve those issues as part of the sale.
On April 4, 1963, a wind-driven fire started at Smick Lumber Company on Route 49, leaving 19 families homeless and destroying the post office. Fire, water, or storm damage is still a common reason owners decide to sell as-is. We buy damaged houses without asking you to rebuild, and we handle the cleanup and repairs after closing.
Quinton had about 1,100 housing units at the 2010 census across roughly 24 square miles, and the township is a dry town. Outside the village, homes sit along county roads among fields. If you are selling a rural house that needs work, or one a family member left behind, we make a cash offer and set the closing on your schedule.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
