North Haledon, Passaic County
North Haledon is a borough of about 3.5 square miles on higher ground north of Haledon and Paterson. It borders Haledon, Hawthorne, Prospect Park, and Wayne in Passaic County and Franklin Lakes and Wyckoff in Bergen County. No interstate, U.S., or state highway runs through it; the main roads are county routes such as High Mountain Road. About 8,900 people live in roughly 3,100 housing units, and the borough grew from about 750 residents in 1910 to a peak near 8,200 in 1980.
Because no state or federal highway serves North Haledon, its streets are mostly residential, linked by county roads such as High Mountain Road, County Route 677. NJ Transit's local 703 bus is the main transit link. Buyers looking at quiet streets often expect a move-in-ready house. If yours needs work, we buy it as it is.
North Haledon grew from about 750 residents in 1910 to more than 8,000 by 1980, so much of its housing went up during those decades. Homes from that era often reach a point where the roof, heating system, and electrical service all need attention at once. We buy them without asking for upgrades first.
North Haledon was formed in 1901 from part of the former Manchester Township, the same township that produced Hawthorne, Prospect Park, and Haledon. Many houses here have had one owner for decades and pass through an estate when that owner dies. We can buy from the estate with belongings still inside and wait for probate.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
