North Arlington, Bergen County
North Arlington is the southernmost municipality in Bergen County, bordered by Lyndhurst, by Belleville across the Passaic River, and by Kearny, whose Arlington section gave the borough its name. Route 17 (Ridge Road) and Route 7 (Belleville Turnpike) meet here, and NJ Transit buses run to Newark. Formed from Union Township in 1896, the borough has about 16,500 residents and 6,700 homes. Holy Cross Cemetery covers about one-eighth of its land.
Copper was mined here in the 1700s and 1800s at the Schuyler mine, one of the first true copper mines in North America, and the continent's first steam engine was assembled on site in 1755 to pump it out. A borough with roots this deep has plenty of older housing. We buy older homes as-is, without repair demands.
North Arlington is in the Meadowlands District and was part of a 785-acre landfill cleanup and redevelopment plan with Lyndhurst and Rutherford that collapsed in 2008. A FedEx freight facility was later approved on a former steel dumping ground on Porete Avenue. If nearby land use worries buyers, we make a firm cash offer anyway.
Holy Cross Cemetery takes up 208 acres, and because it is nonprofit the borough collects no property tax on it. Cemeteries also line Route 7 at the Kearny border. If property taxes or carrying costs are part of why you are selling, we can close quickly so those bills stop.

Yes. We regularly buy estate properties as-is, including contents, and can coordinate with the executor and attorney on timing.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
