National Park, Gloucester County
National Park is a small borough on the Delaware River, surrounded on land by West Deptford Township and facing South Philadelphia, the mouth of the Schuylkill, and Fort Mifflin across the water. It covers about 1.4 square miles, roughly 30 percent of it water. The area was developed in 1895 as a Methodist retreat called National Park on the Delaware and became a borough in 1902. It is home to Red Bank Battlefield Park, site of a 1777 Revolutionary War battle. I-295 and Route 130 run just outside the borough line.
Rev. James E. Lake, who also founded Ocean City, laid out National Park in 1895 as a Methodist retreat, and the borough split from West Deptford in 1902. Its roughly 1,200 housing units are packed into about one square mile of land. Older homes on tight lots can need repairs buyers do not want to take on. We buy them as-is.
Red Bank Battlefield Park covers 44 acres on the river, and much of the battlefield has eroded into the Delaware. Homes near the riverfront may fall in a mapped flood zone, which affects insurance costs and lending. We buy National Park homes near the water for cash, whatever the flood designation.
On October 22, 1777, about 600 Continental troops at Fort Mercer here repelled roughly 900 Hessian soldiers. The 1748 Whitall House stands in the county park at the end of Hessian Avenue. Living next to a historic site does not change what we offer: a cash price for your house as it is.

Questions from National Park sellers
No. We buy homes near the Delaware for cash, so a buyer's lender and flood insurance requirement are not part of the deal.
Yes. We buy homes throughout the borough in their current condition, including ones that need full renovation.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
