Maurice River, Cumberland County
Maurice River Township is the easternmost and one of the largest towns in Cumberland County, bordering Commercial Township, Millville, Vineland, three Atlantic County towns, and two in Cape May County. Routes 47, 49, 55, and 347 run through it. Its villages include Leesburg, Heislerville, Dorchester, Delmont, Port Elizabeth, Bricksboro, and East Point. Much of the land is Pine Barrens forest and river marsh. Housing is mostly older single-family homes in the river villages and houses on wooded rural lots.
Maurice River Township is partly in the state Pinelands Area and partly in the Pinelands National Reserve. Lots inside those boundaries follow Pinelands land-use and septic standards, which can limit additions or new construction. That can shrink the buyer pool. We buy Pinelands-area homes as they are.
In 1993 Congress designated the Maurice River and its tributaries a National Scenic and Recreational River. Villages like Leesburg grew around shipbuilding starting in 1795. River-village homes are often old and low-lying, which can bring repair and flood-insurance questions. We buy without those hurdles.
Bayside State Prison in Leesburg, renamed from Leesburg State Prison in 1988, and Southern State Correctional Facility are both in the township, and their populations are part of the census count. If you own a home in Leesburg or nearby, we make cash offers there as-is.

In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
