Mantua, Gloucester County
Mantua Township lies in central Gloucester County along Mantua Creek, which forms its northeastern border. It touches Deptford, West Deptford, East Greenwich, Harrison, and Washington townships and the boroughs of Glassboro, Pitman, and Wenonah. Formed in 1853 from Greenwich Township, it later gave up land to create East Greenwich and Pitman. Sewell and Barnsboro are among its communities, and part of Richwood lies here too. Route 55 and Route 45 are the main highways, and the township reached its highest census count, about 15,200, in 2020.
Sewell is listed as a place within Mantua, while the Sewell census-designated place is in neighboring Washington Township. A Sewell mailing address alone does not tell you which town taxes the house. We look up the block, lot, and municipality before we make an offer so title and tax prorations are right.
Mantua Creek, which gives the township its name, runs about 18.6 miles from near Glassboro to the Delaware River and forms Mantua's northeastern edge. Homes near the creek can face flood-zone and drainage questions from lenders and insurers. We buy creekside Mantua homes in their current condition.
Tall Pines State Preserve, 111 acres on the Deptford border, opened in 2015 as Gloucester County's first state park. The planned Glassboro-Camden Line also lists a Mantua Township station and a Mantua/Pitman stop. Whatever happens with the rail project, we can buy your Mantua house now for cash.

Questions from Mantua sellers
Sewell addresses are used in both towns. We confirm the municipality from the tax records when we prepare an offer.
Yes. We buy homes anywhere in Mantua Township as-is, including houses with roof, foundation, or system problems.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
