Chesterfield, Burlington County
Chesterfield Township covers about 21 square miles of farmland in northern Burlington County, bordering Bordentown Township, Mansfield, North Hanover, Springfield, and Hamilton Township in Mercer County. Its older villages are Crosswicks, settled in 1677, Chesterfield (once called Recklesstown), and Sykesville. The newer Old York Village is a planned community of mixed housing built on 560 acres. The population reached about 9,400 in 2020, up 22 percent from 2010. The Turnpike crosses the northwest corner, and the township has no public transit.
More than 7,000 acres of Chesterfield farmland are permanently preserved, and a township-wide transfer of development credits program sends new growth to Old York Village. That limits building on farm parcels elsewhere. If you own a house on or near farmland, we buy it as-is and do not need to resolve development questions first.
Old York Village is a New Urbanism community with mixed housing types, commercial space, and an elementary school, and most of it was built by 2024. Homes there are newer, but sellers still face association paperwork, showings, and buyer financing. We buy Old York Village homes for cash and close on your schedule.
Crosswicks is the oldest of the township's villages, and its Friends Meeting House still has a Revolutionary War cannonball lodged in the wall. Older village houses can come with dated systems, additions, and repair needs that slow a traditional sale. We buy them in their current condition.

Questions from Chesterfield sellers
Yes. We buy older Chesterfield houses as-is, including ones on larger lots, and you do not need to make repairs or clean out outbuildings.
Preserved farmland carries permanent deed restrictions, while ordinary homes nearby can be sold normally. We review the title on your specific property and make an offer on what is there.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
