Bay Head, Ocean County
Bay Head is a small borough at the northern end of the Barnegat Peninsula, between the Atlantic Ocean and Barnegat Bay, bordered by Mantoloking, Brick, Point Pleasant, and Point Pleasant Beach. It split from Brick Township in 1886 after the Bayhead Land Company developed it as a resort. Route 35 runs through town, and Bay Head is the southern end of NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line. More than half of its buildings fall within a historic district.
The Bay Head Historic District, listed on the state and national registers in 2005, includes more than 550 contributing structures, over half the buildings in town, many in Shingle, Stick, and Queen Anne styles. Older wood-frame houses near salt air need steady upkeep on roofs, siding, and porches. We buy older Bay Head homes without asking you to restore them first.
A stone seawall built in 1882 and later buried under the dunes helped limit damage in Bay Head during Hurricane Sandy, while neighboring Mantoloking lost homes to a temporary inlet. Even so, oceanfront and bayfront houses here face flood-zone and insurance questions that slow financed buyers. We pay cash and close on our own schedule with you.
Bay Head station is the terminus of the North Jersey Coast Line, with service to Newark, Hoboken, and New York Penn Station. That rail link draws buyers, but many of them need mortgages and inspections that older houses struggle to pass. When a house needs work, we offer a cash sale with no lender involvement.

Questions from Bay Head sellers
Yes. We buy older homes in the historic district as they stand, and you don't need to make repairs or updates before selling.
Yes. We buy inherited shore homes for cash and can work with the estate's executor or attorney on timing.
In New Jersey, an inherited house is sold through the estate, so the executor or court-appointed administrator signs the sale. We talk with each heir separately and privately, so no one has to negotiate as a group, and we'll walk you through getting an administrator appointed if that hasn't happened yet.
Thirty days is typical, and clean files can move faster. If you need more time, we'll write the date you want into the contract.
